On October 1, 2011, The Residue Group will transform Beaver Hall Gallery into a relic of our industrial  past for Scotiabank Nuit Blanche revelers to sample  a taste of the art of Urban Exploration. Urban exploration (often shortened as urbex or UE)  is the examination of the normally unseen or off- limits parts of urban areas or industrial facilities. ...en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Urban Exploration ‘Residue’ is a group exhibition by the members of  The Residue Group exploring the relationship between  the “art” of urban exploration and its presentation  for public consumption. Experience the thrill of an urban adventure and  explore the residue left behind the hoarding of  closed factories, derelict homes and our cultural  past. Slip on a pair of rubber gloves and discover  the excitement of found artistic treasure(s) while you navigate your way through debris, traces of  light, music and industrial noise. Peer through holes  in the walls, examine the discarded furniture,  the installation will be a gallery exhibition  of UE photography, we invite you to stay a moment and  who once lived, worked or worshiped within them leave. abandoned machines and what remains when the occupants  At the end of your adventure in stark contrast to  consider the spaces where urban exploration art  is made. Our Man in La Habana

I am a visual artist and profesor of Etching and Photography at ISA (Cuban Arts University) here at La Habana. I am also a confirmed TLR user as you can see at my blog at: ossainraggi.mifotoblog.com

This is also the opening image in my first (next September) book, named: Restauración, el anillo y el estanque (Restoration, the ring and the pond). The technical data is: Rolleiflex Automat MX whit a Jena Tessar 75/3.5 at f:5.6 whit 1/5 seg of exposition. The place is the Visual Arts School at the Cubanacan Art Schools during the restoration process.
